My life.

Once we moved the girls into separate rooms, Alison asked where her name was.  I forgot Ashley has her name embroidered and framed and Alison doesn't, well she does now.

What the heck? Snow?

So there will no cute pictures of the new cat or smiling little girlie faces, this post is purely for mommy to vent.  I went outside to dump the trash and there is snow falling.  A couple of posts ago I was bragging about the beautiful 65 degree weather, not anymore.  I took a picture and my camera lens was nice and clean.  We now have puffy snowflakes falling, IN SOUTH GEORGIA.

So far so good, Kiki has meshed with her surroundings.  Rusty did call today and made sure that I was still watching for any "LOST CAT" signs.  I assured him I am; but if we do finally become Kiki's forever family, we are blessed.  Three times in the cat box and she took a nap with the dog.

Welcome our new addition.

This afternoon I opened the back door to let Mandy outside to go to the bathroom and in walked our new addition.  Almost immediately Ally said, "mommy, can we keep it?"  We all know that Ally has been counting the days until Mandy passes away so she could have a cat.  Well God answered her prayers.  So I contacted the vet because I had a concern with the lesion on its side.

I called across to my neighbor and they came over to watch the girls as I packed up the cat and took it to the Emergency Vet Clinic.  They asked me if I was keeping her and I was confused.  So I called the Humane Society and they could not accept her and I could take her to the animal control facility.  There was no way after Ally asked me if she could keep her.  So an hour later and all the tests were run, KiKi now lives on Posey Road with us.

We all know how Mandy is and thought for sure we would have issues; but KiKi could care less about Mandy and vice versa.  KiKi is eating well and has already visited the box successfully.  Her favorite hiding spot so far is under Ally's bed.  Why couldn't a fish show up on our doorstep?

It is starting to feel like Spring...

The past couple of days it has been the average of 65 degrees.  So we decided to head to the Atlanta Zoo Saturday with some friends and then Sunday after church we just played outside.  We actually got to play withour sweaters or jackets.  But of course the fun will end tomorrow, we are due for rain and cold weather.

Too many posts...

I know there has been quite a few posts in the last couple of days; but there has been a quite eventful time.  Alison's birthday, Valentine's Day and SNOW!  That is right, again we have snow.  The accumulation is pretty great for this part of the country.  Here are a few shots of our home South of Atlanta.

My man really came through for this Valentine's Day; this deployment has been a little tougher than most.  The girls are getting older and I am more tired.  But we sure miss our soldier!

Happy Birthday Alison!

Since Alison's birthday was today, we celebrated the best we could without Rusty being home.  If you live nearby a Red Robin restaurant take the time to register for their birthday club.  You will receive an email for a free meal and then they also bring an ice cream sundae.  Then the girls get a balloon on the way out.

Yesterday when Rusty called all Alison said she wanted was a big girl TAG Reader.  Of course, I had already purchased it, wrapped and hid it in the closet.  But since that was the first time she mentioned to Rusty we had to come up with a plan and quick.  Last night, I was on the phone with my best friend Heather and we were chatting like we always do and the girls must have heard me.  So this morning they said they could hear me talking to someone last night; I had to tell them the truth it was the Postman delivering Alison's birthday gift from Daddy.  She was so excited that Daddy pulled it off and as far as she knows.....he did it all by himself.

Right now, while the kids are young and Daddy is gone so often; both girls have been a small gift. 

It was nice and quiet while I made breakfast this morning.  Plus, they have no idea that they are learning.

Mommy Craft Day!

So let me sneak in a quick post before Alison's birthday.  This past weekend, I was sick and vegged out on the couch and let Noggin help me interact with the girls.  By Monday when I was feeling better, I knew I needed to make it up to the girls.  Thanks to a new "Sleepy Time" chamomile and mint relaxing tea, I woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the world.  So the girls and I hit the Hobby Lobby and set up the plan.  A Zee pillow, a character from Noggin (now NickJr.) and some Picasso style painting.

We also picked up a few little projects to kill time while I prepped Zee for construction.  I think the girls just wanted the BLING!

And finally the latest gift from our friends in Kansas.  Thank you Eggar Crew.  We received awesome Princess and the Frog and SuperHero Valentine's cards from our friend.  The girls were in love with the temporary tattoos.  They did not want to wash their hands, even after using the potty.  Thank goodness for hand sanitizer.
