As most of you know, Rusty and I have decided to finally add a bathroom to Alec's room. So in order to keep a little healthy fear in my contractor, I let him know that I was blogging his progress with my friends and family. But after seeing his work the first day and Rusty's approval, I do not think threats are necessary.

Another beautiful 70 degree day...
Here is our beautiful outdoor update. First, the amazing garden that everyone said Rusty could not grow in Georgia. I am so excited to eat his fresh veggies.
Second and third are the 3 week old bluebirds and a picture of their home. What momma could resist taking pictures of their kids on a gorgeous spring day.
Look at those wild curls.
The curls in the wind.
Of course where there is an Ashley cheesing, there is an Alison.

Our weekend activities...
We are keeping a close eye on our managerie. Since it is Spring (even though it feels like summer some days), there are flowers in bloom and plenty of babies to watch. Here are our 5 baby bluebirds, they have only hatched in the last couple of days.
When the shutter snapped after the first photo, the baby must have thought I was momma coming to deliver dinner.
For Rusty's birthday we gave him a Juicer, this was the reaction after the first glass of fresh orange juice.

I love living out in the country...
Like father, like daughter. It is amazing how many things they do exactly the same.
We caught Ashley trying to pick the first strawberry of "our" growing season.
So we let her eat it.
You know when you are younger you poke fun at "those people" that grow their own food and nuture the wild animals. Well we have turned into those people. Here is a little tribute to the garden and wild animals on our little plot of land.
Above: blueberries
Some people clean their gutters, we house baby birds on them.
