Last weekend was my 10K Apple Blossom race and it was a gorgeous morning. So nice that I came home took a quick shower, grabbed a ball cap and my family and out exploring we went. Beautiful weather 63 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I had heard about a little side of the road zoo in Luray, Virginia. But when we drove by there was no way I was spending that kind of money on the that kind of place. Very sketchy. Luckily there was a Shenandoah Valley museum, FREE, and a local park with a fishing pond, FREE. So the random trip turned out perfectly. Most importantly we still made it home in time for Rusty to get some gardening in for the day. The whole family was happy.
