Pizza time

Times are tough, so we have sacrificed Papa Johns and began making our own. There is only one problem, I can not keep Ally from eating all her cheese.

Coupon day

If anyone knows me, they know I clip coupons like it is my job. Apparently it has become a family affair. Rusty gets the Best Buy, Office Max, Lowes and Home Depot sales papers and the girls are left with their coupons ~ the funny pages.

Every since my dear best friend Heather bought me a subscription to the "Family Fun" magazine, the girls are besides themselves when they see it in the mailbox. So as you see, clay mushrooms were on the cover this month. They turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself.

A quick update on the chicken named Lady Cluck, she is only sitting on 15 eggs. Here is proof.

Spring cleaning with the family...

This past weekend we decided to dedicate a little TLC to the yard. While Ally and Rusty did the push mowing, Ashley picked dandelions and mom tried to edge and catch a couple of cute snapshots.

In recent years, we have become semi-farmers and eco-aware parents. This is our latest proud baby ~ the Georgia peach. We have two peach trees and so far the deer and squirrel are leaving them alone.

Every parent think there child is the cutest, so of course we take too many pictures and have to show everyone. This is just a photo of Ashley and her crazy "curlies".

And because Ashley had her photo taken, Ally wanted hers taken ~ fine with momma.

This is the official man-bag for Eric. I just had to show it off. It is so much fun making gifts for friends and family.

Zoo time with kids.

Rusty and I were running around the house trying to get everything done we wanted to and we realized we have not had very much quality time with the girls. So he stopped playing in the yard and I turned off the sewing machine and everyone put some good walking shoes on and to the zoo we went. We had such a fun time. The animals were amazing and the girls just loved watching the giraffes. Ashley wanted to count their spots.

Easter Loot

The day started with the home easter egg hunt. Boy were they "eggcited".

Then the girls got dressed and we headed to church. Ashley played in the nursery and Ally decided to partake in communion. So as Brother Tommy passed around the "bread" bowl for each of us, Ally turned to me and said "I want a cracker." Since this was the first time Ally has set in the sanctuary with me I think she believes we sit around and sing while eating crackers and juice. I will explain later what the crackers and juice really represent.

After services we spent a beautiful morning hunting the 200 eggs for the kids. I do not know what is worse, Halloween or Easter. Either way momma hips are expanding by the minute.

So I worked my fingers to the bone designing a little dress exactly to Ashley's specifications. Even while she slept, I would sneak in and take her measurements. Finally last night I finished, what I thought would meet her expectations. It is pink and purple, not itchy and she can wear pants sometimes. I thought, "wow Mom, that is exactly what I wanted." Instead I got, "I don't want to wear that!" Guess what, she wore it and her sister wore a different I made. Then we headed out the door for our daily activities. Imagine this, once she received a few compliments from COMPLETE STRANGERS, now it is her favorite. Once again, thanks mom!

Another Easter Project

Here are a couple of more pictures of more Easter projects. Thankfully Rusty came home a little early to help. This project included a glue gun and two impatient toddlers. When it was said and done we actually had a nice family project hour.

The ultimate girl day

The girls were just ecstatic to have their nails painted. Contrary to popular belief, I own multiple bottles of fingernail polish, I just do not see the need to polish my nails when I change diapers and feed a chicken on a daily basis. Rusty took the pictures as I painted. When I looked at him, I can see that is was flashing to the future. The look of fear came over him; hair appointments, prom dresses and boyfriends. So we will limit our girl activities for now and ease him into the thought that he may actually have two small daughters.
