Snow Days

The girls and I had are first official snow days, two to be exact.  We had a really good time in and outside the house.  If you know me, you know I am not a fan of the white stuff; but with two little girls they make it a little more enjoyable.  So here are a few pictures of us enjoy the first real snowfall of the searson.

After we were done with outside we worked on puzzles, cookies and entertaining ourselves.

Christmas Letter 2010

Let me start by saying happy holidays from our family. This year has been extremely busy. We moved from Georgia and all 4 kids are busy growing up. Kimberly, now 24 and an experienced traveler, is working in a Vet Clinic in Louisiana and occassionally visits New York City and other major cities chasing Broadway shows and just enjoying life. It has been a joy watching her transform from a girl to a grown woman. Alec is 17 and is halfway through his senior year of high school. So the pressure of life is knocking at his door. ACTs, SATs, scholarships and college applications. He is handling the pressures well and has really tuned out to be a responsible and polite young man. Ashley, about to be 6, started Kindergarten this year and is flourishing. She really just enjoys socializing with her buddies, luckily she has not got in trouble for that yet. And Alison turns 4 in February, she started preschool at the local Methodist church and has really broke out of her shell. We are truly lucky to have four wonderful children that are a joy to parent and hang out with. Each of them are so unique in their personality that is amazing when we get all four together and just have fun. I would love to brag and update everyone on our life; but "Santa" still has a lot of sewing to do for Christmas, so if you are interested please take a moment and check out of family blog. The Football/Holiday Season

Here is just a random shot of the girls hanging out.

It seems that every year we seem to live where the fall months are colder and colder.  So we have created quite a bit of projects to do indoors with the family.  Since I canned a bunch of tomatoes this summer, that includes making salsa, Rusty and the girls love eating on fresh salsa and chips during ANY SEC football game.

But now that SEC football is at a halt until the bowl games begins, we started baking a lot.  Here we are making our gingerbread cookies.

And last but not least, I finished Alison's pajamas last week; so of course I had to do a pair for Ashley.  Here is the final product.  Luckily she will get to showcase them at school.  They are studying the letter "P" this week and Friday is pajama day.  All my hard work will be validated ~ YAY!

The girls have wanted pajamas just like mommy and daddy's.  They are too easy to put together as long as you have hot coffee, NickJR and good music playing.  I will be getting Ashley's done this weekend.
