My nephew visits and the girls love it.

The girls were just absolutely amazed that their cousin could read their favorite bedtime story.

Unfortunately that meant that the poor boy never got a break from the girls. Here he is showing them how to skate on the Playstation 3.

But for his sake, we all went took a trip to the Georgia Aquarium and they were all equally excited.

Getting him to pose for a picture gave me a chance to reflect on my past experiences with Alec.

The bathroom is almost complete.

I am almost done with the guest bathroom. I am down to the final finishing touches. The shower door should be here Tuesday. Then I can get up there and clean the floor, hang the towel hook, toilet paper holder and lay the rugs. It has really changed the feel of the whole upstairs. I am thinking of moving upstairs completely. Better idea, Rusty can get dressed upstairs on those early mornings and let me sleep in. (Thanks for the idea Heather, that is why we are friends.)

It begins with a poster....

I am not looking forward to the wasteful purchases of the TigerBeat magazines and whatever the latest teen gossip magazines are named. But it has begun. Ashley has become completely addicted to Taylor Swift, it could be worse. So I thought I would allow her to buy a poster and put it on the back of their door. Unfortunately we could not find one, so I gave into buying her CD. Thankfully it has a little poster in it. All problems solved, until Ally wanted one. So I ripped a piece of the CD cover and now both girl have Taylor Swift posted above their wall. I am so scared on the teen years. Flashbacks of Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Andre Agassi and Scott Baio are all too real.

The Beer

Now I would not normally advertise or encourage drinking; but this is a special exception. Rusty is a man of many talents; gardening; great dad; and wonderful husband. But with the economy like it is, he has taken up another hobby ~ microbrewing (for himself). So I thought I would try a glass of his homemade brew while he was gone. Pretty tasty. Here's to you Rusty.

We are almost done...

My best friend Heather is visiting with her three kids so I thought she would really enjoy her vacation doing home improvements. She has graciously painted our new bathroom while I stitched some pillows for her couch; I got the better end of the deal. Her experience and expertise has really helped me deal with the contractors and achieving the bathroom I wanted.

We are still awaiting the delivery of the shower door. I also am working on some sewing projects to place the final touches on our new addition.

Taylor Swift

Ashley has a new idol, Taylor Swift. I guess it could be worse. She absolutely loves her music and jumps around and sings it daily. I have even caught her walking down the aisle in the grocery store singing.

Here is the agriculture report from the Sears Garden:

Tomato

Onion

Gardenias

Corn
