Easter 2011

With the Easter Bunny's visit, we were very busy.  So busy that I was too tired to answer phone calls.  So to everyone whom we missed talking to yesterday - Happy Easter!!!  After the egg hunting, it was yard work and garden tending before the next deluge of rain.  We got done just in time.  But here are the pictures I promised to the grandparents.

Science Fair

This was so exciting, Ashley's science fair poster.  Ashley's the one at the bottom.  It was about recycling.  We had so much fun making it.  I was aloud to trace the recycle logo and square boxes and then she colored, labeled and glued all the pieces. Alison was so proud of her big sister she wanted to be in the picture as well. But the day before the big Science Fair we were afraid she would not get to go.  The school sent her home thinking she had pink eye.  Fortunately she did get to go.  Her diagnosis at the pediatrician was a severe reaction to the allergies.  So with her schedule breathing treatments, flonase and claritin we should make it through this season.

This school year is coming to an end and with that comes another school photo.  It is amazing how much Ashley has changed.  Her personality has really morphed into a neat kid.

Easter Program

Alison had her Easter program this past Friday.  It was really interesting watching all the kids perform.  Since the Christmas program their confidence has increased dramatically.  Of course there is still the rogue preschooler that loves to play to the audience.  I apologize for the grainy photos; but it is the best I can do while trying to keep the older one occupied. 

Later this month, there is an Apple Blossom Festival.  The traditional colors of the festival are pink and green.  So I created these little pillow dresses for the girls.  To get a couple of uses, they are doubling as our Easter dresses as well.

Life.

I do not have any pictures that I want to post right now.  I just want to get a few things out into the open.  Life is confusing, cruel, short and rewarding.  Altogether we are pretty lucky.  So just think the next time you are mad or frustrated that you have been blessed with people whom love you, friends and family alike.  Before you judge someone, stop and think what might they be going through.  Everyone has a story.
