It has been awhile.

With more and more friends and family joining Facebook, I have neglected my blog updates.  I apologize. Since the last time I blogged an entry, so much has happened.

Here is an update on the kids:
  • Kimberly has been a world traveler.  She has visited NYC quite a few times and a trip to California recently. I am so happy she experiencing this awesome country of ours.
  • Alec graduated high school and is due to start basic training with the US Army on July 27th.  We know that he will do so well.
  • Ashley finished kindergarten with high honors.
  • Alison finished her first year of preschool.
With Alec growing up and moving into adulthood we got to hang out with him one more time before life gets too busy.  Here are a few pictures of us hanging out with him here. Rusty and Alec spent a day canoeing on the Shenandoah River here in Front Royal, Virginia.  Then we spent a weekend in Washington D.C. to check out some more museums.  Finally we rafted down the same river in a family raft for a day.  I think we all really enjoyed spending a day on the river.
Ashley helping row the raft.

Alec getting a little bored with rowing.

The boys on their canoe adventure.

Hanging out in the George Washington National Forest, Passage Creek.  It is just deep enough to hang out and have fun.

Taking a break on the river while rafting for the day on the river.

The girls posing for a picture on the river.

Spending a quiet moment at the National Building Museum. I am so happy for my little family of Engineers.
